I wondered if it would be possible to receive email notification when someone made a post to a blog I liked reading; after all, I read my email way more than I read my RSS reader. 

So, I asked one of the smart guys at Element Fusion if he had ever heard of such a thing. 

In his very intelligent tone he replied: 

"There are services (although they're hard to find) that let you subscribe to RSS feeds through email.  They'll email you when the RSS feed is updated. A lot of services have come and gone that do this, but here's one that's working: www.rssfwd.com."

Interestingly, they tag the service this way:

Reading RSS the way you are already reading your emails

So I signed up.  Very easy to do.  I've added my own blog (the one you are reading right now) to it so now I will receive an email every time I make a new post to my blog.  That way I can see myself coming and going!  Let's see if it works the way I hoped.
